From February 1-17 it's the 2008 Quebec Winter Carnival. In honour of Quebec's 400th anniversary, the carnival has been expanded with a new night parade over two Saturdays. 1,200 additional costumes and a new soundtrack add to the excitement.
The regular 300 events are still in place including the ice canoe races, ice sculpting competition and pancake breakfasts.
February 8, 2008 - February 10 2008 it’s the Quebec City Motorcycle and ATV Show. While in town for the Winter Carnival, motor sport enthusiasts will want to check out the latest models, accessories, products and services and talk to exhibitors.

Quebec is going to the dogs - the sled dogs that is. From February 15 to 17, over 50 dog sled teams across North America, will compete in La Classique Dog Sled Race. Nothing stimulates the racing spirit of sled dogs like sub zero temperatures on the beautiful Isle-aux-Coudres, an hour outside of Quebec City.

From February 14th to 24th, 2008 it’s the 49th Québec International Pee Wee Hockey Tournament. 2300 young hockey players from 16 countries come to Quebec City to compete in the tournament that launched the careers of hockey greats Gretsky, Guy Lafleur and Eric Lindros.
