2. Quebec City's Museum of Civilization
Housed in an 18th century home, the 20 year old "peoples" museum nevertheless has a contemporary feel. The museum of civilization houses three permanent exhibits with a focus on the people of Quebec both past and present. Up to seven traveling shows can also be seen in the remaining 6,000 square feet. An interactive Kids Corner allows young visitors to play with toys from the past.

3. Quebec City's Museum of Fine Arts
Located on the Plains of Abraham, Quebec City's Museum of Fine Arts is a great place to view modern and contemporary Quebec art. The renovated buildings also host evening jazz concerts and other special events.

4. Museum of French Americans
The oldest museum in Canada, the Musée de l'Amerique Française (Museum of French Americans,) serves to trace the history and development of French settlement throughout North America.
Located near the Chateau Frontenac hotel in a building dating from 1663, the museum reflects its European religious and scientific routes.

5. Erico Chocolate Economuseum
What's not to like about this little museum where admission is always free and visitors are treated to free chocolate samples? True to the economuseum mandate, the visit will be a learning experience as well. The history of chocolate from the Mayan culture to contemporary production methods will be explored. Bonus: Summer visitors can try the homemade ice cream.
Conveniently located on Quebec City's main shopping and dining street running outside the wall, the chocolate museum is just one of many stops visitors will make here.
