When planning your trip to Montreal and /or Quebec City, seek out a certified genuine Quebec experience. To do this look for one of the following yellow oval signs posted in front of restaurants, country inns, farms and other tourist venues:

Gite du Passant (Bed & Breakfast), Auberge du Passant (Country Inn), Table aux Saveurs du Terroir (Native Cuisine), Table Champêtre (Country-style Dining) and Relais du Terroir (Farm Shop.

Of course, it's easier to do this before you leave home. Just visit the Fédération des Agricotours du Québec to get a list of these establishments by region.
