Bike Rentals in Montreal to Include Bixis
Bixis Bike Rentals coming to Montreal

From , former About.com Guide

Bixis Bike Rentals in Montreal will soon become a reality. What's a Bixi?. Good question. A bixi is a combination bike /taxi, hence the name and are already available in Paris and other European capitals.

By spring 2009, 2,400 of them will be on the streets of Montreal. And the best part? They're free for the first 30 minutes and only five dollars a day or $28.00 a month for natives and visitors alike.

The lightweight, 100% aluminum bikes are made in Quebec and will be located at 300 stations in six Montreal boroughs. To add to the "green factor" these public bike stations will be powered by solar energy. Just one more reason to visit to Montreal!
