  • Discover a Classic European-Style Christmas Market
    Every year, Quebec City’s German community comes together to organize a great Christmas Market, right in the heart of Old Quebec. A small village made of small, European-style wooden booths is built in front of the city hall, where visitors can sample local products, mulled wine, grilled sausages, spiced bread, and many more delicious snacks. Local artisans also display their work, which make for unique gifts, and there are free concerts at the weekends.

    Quebec City’s yearly craft show, the Salon des Artisans et des Métiers d’Art de Québec, offers excellent holiday shopping opportunity, as well as the chance to admire the craftsmanship of over 250 local artisans.   • Get in the Holiday Spirit at Baie-Saint-Paul’s Christmas Market
    In the heart of scenic Charlevoix, Baie-Saint-Paul closes its main street for two weekends to offer visitors a taste of European Christmas markets. Artists, craftspeople and local producers show off their work, and small wooden shacks sell mulled wine and delicious bites made with local ingredients. Several fire pits are installed along the street to allow walkers to keep warm and enjoy the cheery atmosphere.

  • Ski Along Hundreds of Santa Clauses at Le Massif de Charlevoix
    On December 15, skiers and snowboarders put on their Santa suits to hit the slopes of one of Quebec’s best mountains for only $15. All profits from that day’s sales go to a charity organization, Horizon Charlevoix, which facilitates access to outdoor sports for the local youth.

  • Go Down a Mountain in the Dark
    On December 29, Le Massif de Charlevoix, which usually closes at sunset, remains open all night and invites skiers to put on their headlamps to ride down the trails. The very popular annual event, called the Torchlight Parade, is a very impressive sight. At the mountain’s base, campfires, entertainment and a live DJ create a great atmosphere for a festive evening.
