1. Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
First conceived in 1860, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts was the first museum in Canada built to house art works. With over 35,000 pieces in six collections the museum is well worth a visit as most of the collection can be viewed for free.

Wednesday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
2. Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art
The Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art focuses primarily on Quebec artists but it also hosts important Canadian and international traveling shows. The permanent collection contains over 7,000 pieces.

3. Canadian Centre for Architecture
The Canadian Centre for Architecture, an institution for education, research and exhibition focuses on the art of architecture.

DHC/Art is located in Old Montreal at two locations focuses on traveling contemporary art exhibits.
