The Canadian Centre for Architecture is both an educational/research institute and an exhibition space that creates public awareness of the importance of architecture in society and encourages respect for new design initiatives.

On Thursday evenings, drop in for the free lecture series. Sunday afternoon family programs include free guided tours of the collections and the garden.
Over 100,000 prints and drawings from the late 15th century to present day computerized renderings trace the history of architecture from all over the world. 55,000 photographs including rare items from the 1840's to large scale digital prints not found anywhere else can be seen here.The library has over 200,000 items in all languages from the earliest books in print from the 15th century to interactive websites.
The CCA Garden integrates art and architecture into the landscape. The garden site was granted to the CCA by the city in 1986, and was designed by Montréal artist-architect Melvin Charney.
Here, sculpture and public space blend harmoniously. Is it a garden in the city or an open air museum? You decide. iThe garden is laid out as a an orchard, a meadow, an arcade and a series of columns. All facets relate to the history of architecture as well as to the surrounding city.
