Guide Review - Opus Hotel Montreal

The Opus Hotel Montreal opened in 2007 with an interior designed by New Yorker, Yabu Pushelberg. Housed in an original avant-garde edifice from 1914, it was the first poured concrete building in North America. Evidence of this feature can be seen in the polished concrete of the bedroom ceilings that contributes to the quietness and assures a sound sleep.

On the main floor, just off the stylish yet comfortable reception lounge, sits the ultra cool Koko restaurant and bar. Stark white furniture, shag lamps and lots of natural light dominate the space. A large terrace surrounded by neighboring buildings complete the chic, urban decor.

A smaller restaurant downstairs provides a pleasant breakfast buffet by day and intimate lounge with dance floor by night. A good selection of complimentary coffees, organic teas and newspapers are available 24 hours.
