Boutique Hotels
With great locations in downtown and old Montreal, the Opus Hotel and the Auberge Bonaparte offer the best value in Montreal boutique hotels with great dining options.
While Bonaparte is more classically French, Opus is more international modern with an interior designed by New Yorker, Yabel Pushelberg.
Even if you are not staying here, both dining rooms are well worth a visit. A nice blend of contemporary and classical French cuisine using fresh Quebec ingredients awaits the visitor to Auberge Bonaparte while a Japanese fusion menu best describes the menu at Koko in the Opus Hotel.
Business Hotels
Located near the airport, The Days Inn Hotel and Conference Centre represents very good value for its many extras such as a free shuttle not only to the airport but to the metro (subway)system for easy transport into downtown Montreal.
The Hotel Omni Montreal is a five star property right downtown with low season rates from 128.00 per night and consistently good ratings. There were rumors of a December, 2008 closing but this is not the case.
Bed and Breakfasts/Quebec Inns
Montreal's best bed and breakfasts are particularly suited to single travelers and the best of these are located in the Latin Quartier and Montreal's plateau - perfect for exploring these interesting neighborhoods.
The University Bed and Breakfast with its all inclusive suites is great for groups and families. Boulanger bed and Breakfast has private washrooms only while Azul has shared facilities only.
