Hidden upstairs in the back of the Lac Leamy Casino this AAA/CAA five diamond restaurant with its splendid lake views offers visitors an experimental menu with unusual but very workable pairings. Take for instance a chef surprise amuse bouche of sweet potato, ahi tuna and vegetarian caviar or a sweet lobster salad and beef marinated in sesame oil.
Diners are seated near the floor to ceiling windows overlooking Lake Leamy and its glorious fountain. A large beverage cart dispenses fine French Champagne to start the evening.
While an al a carte menu is provided, it's best to dine from one of the three tasting menus: "Gourmand", "Chef's Selection" (seasonal) and "Gastronomique".
The most basic of these, the four-course Menu Gourmand (which is plentiful) starts at $60.00 per person. The more ambitious diner might opt for the $90.00 five course seasonal, "Grand Menu Degustation du Chef". The Menu Gastronomique at $115.00 per person (with wine pairings an additional $75.00) requires the participation of the entire table.
